It’s not “THE END.”Īlso, there are quite a few people interested in Christian/Olli (and in Olli beyond his relationship to Christian) who are watching these subbed videos on Youtube without even checking the video descriptions on Youtube for any additional info, and they may just assume that this really is “the end” and that there’s no reason to watch anymore or look for any more videos about Olli’s story.
This is the episode of VL where he finally moves on, declares himself a free man, and is starting his new business. They probably meant that the Chrolli story is over and fair enough, if that’s all you care about then it’s the end for you, but it really ruins what is an uplifting-yet-bittersweet episode for Olli.
It’s really a shame that in a lovely episode in which Olli finds the emotional courage to start his life anew, with his new business and his friends/family around him, the subtitlers put “THE END” as if the story is over. This is in no way “the end” for anything apart from Olli’s marriage to Christian. In fact, his story with Sascha has been continuing to develop in the month since this episode aired, and though it’s quite possible that they will not end up together, this is the most “story” that Olli has had on VL in YEARS. Posting this here because it’s important to clarify that despite the large “THE END” graphic attached to this video, Olli’s story is NOT OVER. After receiving emotional support from Sascha, he is able to sign the papers and remove his wedding band. At this rate I will be an emotional wreck by the summer.5 June 2014 - Olli reopens NoLimits with the help of his friends and family, but his good mood is crushed upon receiving the divorce papers sent to him by Christian’s lawyer. I simply love Christian and Ollie and it has dominated my life for the last 3 months and I’m still not finished watching it all yet. I think to myself ‘why can’t it be more like this? Is this total fiction? Can two men feel and be like this? It fills me with hope that this kind of love does exist. I feel like a teenager when I see them together. It’s the pure passion, desire, and overriding love they have that makes me tingle when I watch.
These two actors can really act together and boy do they know how to kiss. It was handled so well especially for a soap. When they kiss for the first time after a great build up I was in tears. The amount of times I’ve stayed up bleary eyed till 2am shouting at the screen ‘ Just kiss him’, well I’ve lost count.Įvery time Christian was horrid to Olli (because he was denying his love for another man) I felt Ollie’s Pain. You invest in both of them, you feel their pain and love and you get hooked on them fairly quickly. I’m not a soap fan but I can see why so many love Christian and Olli. It’s all about the looks they give to each other… It is so powerful.
I had never watched a single episode at that point and didn’t even know who Christian and Olli were and here I was getting emotional. The first one I ever watched was a compilation set to Sara Bareilles ‘ Gravity’. These music compilations have me in tears most of the time. The fans have also put together footage of Christian and Oliver to great love songs. It was November 2014 when I started to watch the episodes on YouTube because some amazing fans have edited the episodes so that you can just watch and understand Christian and Oliver’s storyline. This storyline about two men falling in love has simply been huge. I can’t do a blog about romance without referring to the German soap Verbotene Liebe ‘Forbidden Love’ and the story of Christian and Oliver.
